Although we provide all guests with high quality extreme weather clothing for the duration of their visit, we must point out that this is the Arctic and we strongly recommend that you travel in warm clothing; waterproof footwear, wear hats and gloves. Additional personal clothing should
include thermal under garments, wool and or thermal socks and additional layers of lightweight clothing such as wool and thermal vests. Temperatures really can be quite extreme and it is much more enjoyable when you are warm!

Day 1 ARRIVAL KIRUNA OR KITTILÄ (L, D) After the flight to Kiruna or Kittilä airport, you will be picked up by your hosts Johan or Sara. They will guide you along the road to Kangos, a small village 150 km north of the Arctic Circle set in the northern Torne river valley. Stop along the way for lunch. After arrival to Kangos you will meet the huskies and get a chance to learn more about these remarkable animals. We enjoy a homemade lunch by the fire or in a cozy timber cabin. After eating it's time it's time to go to bed and dream about the adventure that will start.

Day 2 HUSKY MUSHING (B, L, D) After breakfast your guide will pick you up and drive you to the husky kennel. First we will pack the sleds and then harness the dogs. Before we start the journey you will get instructions from the guide how to mush and take care of your own team. Lunch will be served outside and before nightfall we will arrive at the timber cottage where we will spend the night. (40-60 km)

Day 3 HUSKY MUSHING (B, L, D) After a good night sleep in a small wood cabin we start the day with taking care of the dogs while the guide is preparing breakfast. After feeding the dogs we all sit down, eat our breakfast and discuss the tour of the day. Then we harness the huskies and heed of. The only sounds that can be heard are the breathing of the dogs and the noise of their feet on the snow. We stop after 2-3 hours and enjoy lunch out in the wild. After a while the dogs are eager to run, and we keep on mushing for 2-3 hours. The day ends with a nice home cooked meal before settling down to sleep. (40-60km)

Day 4 HUSKY MUSHING (B, L, D) After one day of mushing you will all feel that you get the hang of it. You can relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. We move along frozen rivers, deep forests and on shimmering white mires. We stop after a while to warm up our bodies with a nice soup, made over the fire. The last part of the trail is in a winterfeeding area for reindeers. The dogs are so used to the animals so they don't care. Many times we pass just a few meters from them. In the middle of this area we reach the cabins were we are going to spend the last night. (40-60km)

Day 5 DEPARTURE After taking care of the dogs and eating breakfast we start our journey back to reality. After about one hour we reach the Husky camp. After saying a last goodbye to the dogs we travel by car to the airport. (10-20 km)
