More Information	Driving in Iceland

Day 1 WELCOME TO ICELAND (150 km/93 miles) Arrival and 2 nights in South Iceland. This tour is ideal as an all-year around stop over or short break program.

Day 2 SOUTH SHORE (200 km/124 miles) Drive through the lush countryside of the South. Visit the waterfalls Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss. Nearby is the lovely Skogar Folk Museum with turf houses, school house and church The bird cliffs of Dyrholaey and Reynisfjara are simply amazing. We recommend also a stroll on the black lava beaches of Vík. In South Iceland you find also the two glaciers Eyjafjallajökull and Myrdalsjökull.

Day 3 GOLDEN CIRCLE (230 km/ 143 miles) Today's program is called Golden Circle with Gullfoss waterfall and Geysir hot springs. Visit to Thingvellir National Park, Iceland's first Viking Parliament, the Althing general assembly, established around 930 and convened there until 1798. The Thingvellir National Park offers numerous hiking trails; many are ideal for short and leisurely walks. Thingvellir is the cradle of the nation's history and independence of its people, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Thingvellir is also a site of exceptional geological interest and the ravine edge is the perfect spot for an overview of the tectonic forces that have shaped the landscape. Take some time to explore Reykjavik, Iceland's capital. Overnight in Reykjavik.

Day 4 DEPARTURE REYKJAVIK (49 km/30 miles) After breakfast drive to the Keflavik Airport and return your rental car.
