In the afternoon tour around Reykjanes peninsula and discover hot springs, light houses, dramatic sea shores, bird cliffs, fishing villages, moon landscapes and lava fields. Walk the bridge over two continents and visit some of the many local museums that are free of charge. Day 3 BLUE LAGOON - REYKJAVIK - FISHING VILLAGES (B) After you healthy breakfast, soak one more time at the Blue Lagoon. From here it is only a 45 minutes drive to Reykjavik. Explore the city, if you like, for some time or continue directly to the small greenhouse town of Hveragerdi in South Iceland. You will stay for two nights at the beautifully located Frost & Fire Guesthouse that features a geothermal swimming pool, several outdoor hot tubs, steambath and relaxation room. We recommend visiting the seashore villages of Stokkseyri and Eyrarbakki with many old and colorful houses and known for good bird watching. In Hveragerði there are plenty of walking possibilities. In the later afternoon you are scheduled for mud bath – straight from Hveragerdi hot springs - located in the local health clinic. (about 150 km/93 miles).

Before you go to bed, find out if Northern Lights, the Aurora Borealis, occur, one of the most spectacular shows on earth, which can frequently be seen in Iceland from September through April on clear and crisp nights. White and green are usually the dominant colores but sometimes there are considerable colour variations.

Day 4 GOLDEN CIRCLE & FONTANA STEAM BATH (B) Today travel to Thingvellir National Park and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue to Gullfoss waterfall, widely known as the Golden Waterfall in the Hvita river with a height of 34 meters. The spectacular sight attracts tourists and travellers all year. Geysir geothermal fields contains a variety of hot springs and bubbling pools including the original geyser and Strokkur that erupts at 5-10 minutes intervals. In the later afternoon you are booked at the new thermal baths FONTANA in Laugarvatn, where healing geothermal heat simmers directly from the ground and the landscape is painted with beautiful mountain ranges. Laugarvatn FONTANA will be a highlight of any wellness retreat in Iceland where you find three geothermally heated baths, a sauna, a warm sand beach, and access to the pristine waters of Lake Laugarvatn. A visit to the open air baths at Laugarvatn FONTANA will also give you the opportunity to experience the ever-changing Icelandic weather as the thermal baths can be enjoyed all year around. In fact, wintertime makes the visit to the thermal baths an even more memorable experience.
