Day 1 ARRIVAL REYKJAVIK Pick-up your rental car at the airport. Drive to Reykjavik or stop at the geothermal nature bath of the Blue Lagoon.
Day 2 GOLDEN CIRCLE (B) Start with Thingvellir National Park, a historical and geological wonder. Continue to the Gullfoss waterfall and Geysir hot spring area. Overnight in Fludir area.
Day 3 BLACK SAND BEACHES - EYJAFJALLAJOKULL (B) Drive along the scenic south shore and across the area around the infamous Eyjafjallajökull strato volcano. Onwards to see the beautiful waterfalls Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss. Discover the Skogar Folk Museum and see the impressive black beaches around Myrdalsjökull glacier. Continue via the charming village of Vik to Kirkjubaejarklaustur for your overnight stay. Optional visit to the Eyjafjallajökull Volcano Visitor Center.
Day 4 RETURN TO REYKJAVIK (B) Today return to Reykjavik along the south shore. Once you arrive in Reykjavik you can use the time to do some shopping, bathing in the thermal pools, visit museums or galleries, to mention a few of the endless possibilities the Reykjavik area has to offer.
Day 5 DEPARTURE REYKJAVIK (B) Drive back to Keflavik International Airport where you will return the car.
