An adventurous ride from the Íshestar Riding Centre into the lava fields surrounding Mt. Helgafell volcano to the old Kaldársel sheep corral or to Lake Hvaleyrarvatn through lava fields and across beautiful hillsides. Plenty of leisure time to explore on your own or join an optional escorted excursion to the Golden Circle with highlights of Gullfoss Waterfall, Geysir Hot Springs and Pingvellir National Park.

Day 1 KEFLAVIK - REYKJAVIK Transfer by Flybus (on your own), departing directly from the airport and stopping at your hotel, ideally located in the city center of Reykjavik. Day at leisure for individual activities. Perhaps join the optional walking tour of Reykjavik or take the afternoon excursion to the Blue Lagoon, or enjoy exploring the city on your own.
Day 2 REYKJAVIK - WHALE WATCHING (B) Enjoy a Scandinavian breakfast buffet at your hotel. Whale watching in the morning at 09:00 (transfer to/from the harbor on own), after-noon at leisure.
Day 3 REYKJAVIK (B) Breakfast at the hotel. The day is at your leisure to explore more of the sights in this beautiful city. We suggest an optional day excursion "Golden Circle tour" (not included) sights are the Geysir geothermal area, the Golden waterfall Gullfoss and the National Park of Thingvellir.
Day 4 LAVA RIDING TOUR (B) After breakfast pick up at 09:00 to the Ishestar Riding Center. Your adventurous riding tour, starting at 10:00, takes you into the lava fields surrounding Mt. Helgafell volcano to the old Kaldársel sheep corral or to Lake Hvaleyrarvatn, across beautiful hillsides riding for ca. 1-2 hours through bushy hills and moss covered lava fields. Little or no riding experience needed. End the tour at the Blue Lagoon, check-in at the Northern Light Hotel, before bathing in the lagoon. (Hotel offers free shuttle to the Blue Lagoon).
Day 5 DEPARTURE (B) After breakfast time at leisure. You have time for another visit to the Blue Lagoon, a geothermal wonder of nature, for a relaxing swim or perhaps schedule a relaxing in-water massage. Swim in a pool of pure, mineral-rich geothermal sea-water in midst of black lava fields, snow-covered in the winter. In a unique ecosystem, high levels of silica, minerals and algae give the lagoon its rich blue color. A natural steam sauna awaits you in one of the lava caves surrounding the pool. Afternoon Airport transfer provided via the hotel.
