Day 1: STOCKHOLM (B) Arrive Stockholm. Transfer on your own to the downtown hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 2 STOCKHOLM (B) Breakfast at your hotel. Meet your driver/guide at your hotel for a 5-hour sightseeing tour of Stockholm. Famous sights include the Royal Palace, the Parliament Buildings, Djurgården and the Old Town (Gamla Stan), with its narrow cobbled streets and numerous antique shops. Visit City Hall with the famous Blue and Golden Halls, where the Nobel Prize Banquet is held each year. An inside visit to The Wasa Museum is also included. Depart Stockholm by boat from Stadshusbron (without guide) for Drottningholm, the Royal Residence (opening hours May - August every day 10.00 - 16.30). Awaiting you at your arrival is the pearl of Lake Mälaren - the Drottningholm Palace, built in the late 17th century, and residence of Sweden's Royal Family. Sections of the Palace are open to the public as are the surrounding landscaped gardens. Included is a one hour guided tour with private guide. Return by boat and transfer on your own to the hotel.
Day 3 STOCKHOLM – VÄXJÖ (B) Transfer on your own to the Central Station for a morning departure by train to Växjö. Your Kingdom of Crystal guide will meet you upon arrival. Proceed on a sightseeing tour in Växjö. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure.
Day 4 VÄXJÖ - KALMAR (B) After breakfast, enjoy a full day guided excursion. Visit the House of Emigration in Växjö; the museum of Småland (Glass) and the Kronebergs Castle Ruins. This afternoon transfer to the train station. Depart by train from Växjö to Kalmar. Transfer upon arrival to your hotel.
Day 5 KALMAR (B, L) Breakfast at the hotel. Full day guided tour in the Kingdom of Crystal including Kosta Boda, Orrefors and Maleras. Lunch at the Orrefors Inn.
Day 6 KALMAR (B) Today enjoy guided visits to the Kalmar Cathedral, Kalmar Castle and the Art Gallery.
Day 7 STOCKHOLM (B) Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the train station and return to Stockholm. ( change train in Elvesta ) Transfer on your own to the hotel.
Day 8 STOCKHOLM (B) Breakfast at the hotel. End of program.
