Day 1 Sun BERGEN - FINNABOTN - BALESTRAND (B, L, D) We sail from Bergen and head north. Activities and guiding on board. The stretch of coast between Bergen and the Sognefjord consists of thousands of large and small islands and is in many people 's opinion Norway 's most beautiful coastal archipelago. Visit to Findebotten Gjestehus, set in delightful surroundings. Farm visit and refreshments ashore. We extend our visit here and our guests may choose among a couple of activities such as hiking along different tracks or try some fishing along the shore. The trip continues past Balestrand up the fjord to Leikanger, the administrative centre and largest fruit-growing community in the county of Sogn og Fjordane. Overnight stay at your fjord hotel. Duration: approx. 10 hrs.

Day 2 Mon SOGNE FJORD - NAEROY FJORD CRUISE - GUDVANGEN - FLAM RAILWAY - BERGEN (B, L) After breakfast we sail further up the Sognefjord and along the beautiful, narrow Nærøyfjord; now on UNESCO's World Heritage List. Visit ashore at the tiny settlement of Styvi, where you will be given a guided visit of the farm. The cruise continues towards Gudvangen before we head towards idyllic Undredal where there will be time to take a look around and visit at the little church. A visit at the local shop is a must! Lunch en route. After the visit the cruise continues towards Flåm, where the cruise ends. Departure by the famous Flåm Railway, a unique 20 kilometer stretch of railway. Change of train at Myrdal and further on the Bergen line with arrival Bergen late afternoon. End of tour services. OPTIONAL: There will be a corresponding train from Myrdal to Oslo. Late evening arrival Oslo. Optional nights in Bergen or Oslo available. OPTIONAL PRE AND POST TOURS Balestrand After the cruise ends in Balestrand, you may want to stay there overnight instead of returning to Bergen. Overnight at the legendary, historic Kvikne's Hotel nestled on the shore of the Sognefjord. Fjærland Another option is to stay in Fjærland after the visit to the Boyabreen glacier and spend the night at the historic and very charming Hotel Mundal (where we have lunch the same day). Flåm We may offer a private boat transfer from Balestrand to Flåm after the end of the cruise on Sunday afternoon. Stay at the Fretheim Hotel, dating back to the year 1870, when the first foreigners visiting Flåm were fishermen fishing for salmon. The fishermen stayed on the farm of the wealthiest man in the village - Christen Fretheim.
