Norway Fjord Safari Standard 2010
3 days / 2 nights, Bergen - Voss - Myrdal - Gudvangen - Flåm Railway - Bergen | Your active adventure includes many highlights of the fjords and famous Norway in a Nutshell route. Start from Bergen, travel by rail up the Raundal Valley to the remote Myrdal station. Change to the famous Flåm Railway, the steepest mountain line in Northern Europe, and descend to Berekvam Station where the action begins!
At Berekvam you leave the crowd behind and jump on a MOUNTAIN BIKE! Our guide will lead the way, giving you insight into this amazing valley, making sure you don't miss the best viewpoints, and will be at hand in case of breakdowns. This fun downhill ride will take you to the picturesque village of Flåm at the shores of the Aurland Fjord.
At Flåm we swap bike for boat, a Fast RIB boat on a fjord Safari to Gudvangen. A journey through World Heritage areas of Aurlandsfjord and Nærøyfjord to the village of Gudvangen. From Gudvangen we drive through the spectacular Nærøydalen and up the hair-pin bends of the steep Stalheim Canyon road, back to Voss and return to Bergen.

Day 1 BERGEN Arrival in Bergen according to your own itinerary. Bergen, Norway's second largest city and the world's only city surrounded by 7 mountains and 7 fjords. Sights of interest include the Hanseatic Bryggen Harbor, Fløibanen Funicular, Troldhaugen, the Fish and Flower market, Bergen Aquarium and Gamle Bergen (Old Bergen Open Air Museum).
Day 2 BERGEN – VOSS – MYRDAL – BEREKVAM By train - onwards by Mountain bike to Flåm - RIB boat to Gudvangen - coach to Voss and train to Bergen.
Breakfast at the hotel. Early morning departure from Bergen by train to the mountain station Myrdal, where you will change to the Flåm Railway.
The Flåm Railway passes through wild and beautiful mountain scenery with waterfalls and steep mountain sides reaching a height of up to 900 meters and down to the Sognefjord. There is no other adhesion railway in the world running on normal tracks that is so steep over a long distance.
At Berekvam station, half way down the Flåm Railway, you will leave the train and crowd behind. Jump on a mountain bike to continue the remaining 11 kilometers to Flåm on the shores of the Aurland Fjord. We follow a narrow gravel road along the river with spectacular view of the waterfalls and mountain sides. Our guide will lead the way, giving you insight into this amazing valley, making sure you don't miss the best viewpoints and will be at hand in case of break-downs. In the fjord village of Flåm you will have some time at leisure before going on a thrilling Fjord Safari.
At Flåm you change from bike to boat. Your guide will give you an exciting ride with the RIB boat, speeding close to sheer mountain walls and jumping waves and wake from fjord ferry's. Experience the tranquility of an area hard to reach and seldom visited and learn about the history and geography of this amazing place. If you are lucky you might even see some seals. After 1,5 hour you will arrive in the fjord village of Gudvangen, after a journey through World Heritage areas of Aurlandsfjord and Nærøyfjord.
A bus will be waiting for you to take you up the hairpin bends of the Stalheimskleiva Road, one of Europe's steepest roads. At approximately 2 pm you will arrive in Voss, famous for its annual Extreme Sports Week.
Spend some time in Voss before you go back to Bergen by train!
