4 days, 3 nights, Longyearbyen | Longyearbyen is the gateway to your Arctic adventure. The Norwegian administrative centre is a small community with about 1.900 inhabitants. Here you can explore both the beautiful nature in the more civilized part of Svalbard, as well as the exciting history by visiting historical places and the Svalbard Museum.
We offer a package for those who would like to fly to Longyearbyen, stay in a hotel and do day excursions out from Longyearbyen. We have included one day excursion in the packages offered. At your hotel, or in Spitsbergen Travels reception, you can book a variety of day excursions after your arrival.

Spitsbergen Hotel The history of Spitsbergen and a cosy atmosphere, typify the Spitsbergen Hotel. We offer more than just a place to sleep, and our gourmet restaurant puts that extra something into your stay at Spitsbergen. You will have personal service at your full service hotel located in quiet surroundings in Longyearbyen, with waffles, coffee and tea in the afternoon. You can enjoy your coffee in one of our saloons, "defrost" in our delicate relax department, enjoy our high standard suites, or just watch the beautiful view of the mountains and glaciers encircling our town.
The hotel was built in the 40's to accommodate the staff of the local mining company and to house official guests visiting Longyearbyen. In the early 90's, the hotel was extensively modernised, extended and redecorated, and is today a modern hotel with all facilities. The hotel had also an expansion in 2000 with more rooms, a new restaurant and conference facilities.
Radisson Blu Polar Hotel Spitsbergen The world's northernmost fullservice hotel is situated at the very heart of Longyearbyen, and has a breathtaking view of the Isfjord's snow-covered mountains to the northwest, the impressing Hiortfjell mountain to the north, and the Advent valley to the east. As a Radisson Blu Hotel, you know what to expect when it comes to service and hospitality. You can enjoy delicious Arctic dishes in our delicate Brasseri Nansen, mingle with the locals in our informal Barentz Pub & Spiseri, or just relax in our lobby.
The hotel was opened in March 1995, and is everything you would expect from a modern, functional and environmentally friendly hotel.
Spitsbergen Guesthouse At the foot of the Longyear glacier you will find Spitsbergen's most charming accommodation, both comfortable and reasonably priced. The guesthouse once housed the miners of Longyearbyen, and is steeped in local history. Enjoy the informal atmosphere in historical surroundings.
Today Spitsbergen Guesthouse consists of three sections with all in all 75 rooms and 136 beds divided among single, double and triple rooms. Each section has a kitchen with the possibility of self catering, a living room with TV, a laundry room and bathrooms with shower/tlt. in the corridors. The breakfast room, and reception area with kiosk, TV and internet access, is located at Stormessa.
