The Northern Lights are one of the most spectacular natural phenomena, visible on clear and crisp winter nights in Iceland. Visit Hofn, a small fishing town in South East Iceland; capture scenic views of Vatnajokull, visit the Glacier Exhibition, and go in search of the incredible show of the Aurora Borealis dancing and lighting up the sky above the Arctic region.

Day 1 ARRIVAL REYKJAVIK

Arrival in Iceland. Transfer on your own to hotel in Reykjavik. Check in and get yourself comfortable for your overnight stay. Airport transfer are not included, but we would be happy to arrange an arrival transfer for you, perhaps even with a stop at the popular Blue Lagoon. Reykjavik is an ideal city for a stylish Scandinavian getaway. The numerous art galleries and museums, as well as superb restaurants and cafés, are perfect for discovering the city's unique culture and cuisine. There are abundant choices of optional tours available and it is easy to visit some of the well-known natural attraction in the country, such as the Golden Circle, the Blue Lagoon, glaciers, volcanoes, waterfalls and more. Day 2 REYKJAVIK - HOFN - NORTHERN LIGHTS (B)

Flight to Hofn - Day of leisure - Scenic walk through town In the early morning, transfer on your own to Reykjavik Domestic Airport (cabs plentiful) and take flight to Hofn on the Southeast coast of Iceland (flight times vary, depending on flight season and availability). The flight duration is approximately one hour You will be met at the airport in Hofn by a local driver for a short transfer to the hotel. Check in and receive further information about your stay and optional activities available. Afterwards, you can take a scenic walk on your own through the village and down to the harbor, where you might see fishermen land their catch of the day. Day 3 GLACIER EXPERIENCE - NORTHERN LIGHTS HUNT (B)

Explore Hofn and surroundings. Hofns proximity to Vatnajokull Glacier provides great opportunities to experience glacial wonders in the region. We recommend taking an optional tour to Jokulsarlon, the Glacier Lagoon, where you might see seals swimming between the huge floating icebergs. Other opportunities might include glacier walking in Skaftafell, a glacier-ringed nature preserve in Vatnajokull National Park. and visiting the new Thorbergur Cultural Centre near the Glacial Lagoon, honoring a favorite Icelandic author. Day 4 DAY AT LEISURE - REYKJAVIK (B)

Spend the morning enjoying optional leisure activities in the area or simply enjoying the small town atmosphere. In the afternoon, fly back to Reykjavik. Transfer on your own to hotel in Reykjavik. Evening at your leisure to enjoy the cityas restaurants, swimming pools and culture. Overnight in Reykjavik Highlights: Hofn Icelandair Hotel Reykjavik Natura Day 5 DEPARTURE REYKJAVIK (B) If your departure flight is in the afternoon, you might want to visit one of the numerous museums or art galleries scattered around the city. Perhaps stroll along the seaside paths, breathing in the pristine North Atlantic air. We recommend departing your hotel no later than three hours before your flight. On your own, transfer to Keflavik airport for international flight. Transfer not included, but we would be happy to arrange it for you. We can also assist you with extending your trip with hotel nights and tour add-ons.
