Day 1 EMBARKATION BERGEN - Northbound
Take time to explore Bergen before departing and leaving your everyday life behind. It's time to relax and look forward to a wonderful journey along the iconic Norwegian coast.
Day 2 ALESUND
We navigate through the skerries and islands, making several brief night time calls along the coastline. When we reach Alesund, the town renowned for its beautiful Art Nouveau architecture, there is time to explore this charming town.

Day 3 ROYAL CITY OF TRONDHEIM
Our first call of the day is Trondheim, home to the impressive Nidaros Catherdral, Scandinavia's largest medieval building. This very walkable city is well worth discovering.
Day 4 ARCTIC CIRCLE - LOFOTEN ISLANDS
Crossing the Arctic Circle is one of the highlights on this journey. The Lofoten Islands are renowned for their small fishing villages surrounded by majestic granite cliffs and white sandy beaches.
Day 5 TROMSO, GATEWAY TO THE ARCTIC
During the night we sail through the spectacular and narrow Raftsund and past the Trollfjord. In the afternoon we arrive in your final port, Tromso, the Gateway to the Arctic. Transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay. Enjoy free time to explore Tromso or take part in one of our winter excursions and hunt the Northern Lights.
Day 6 TROMSO
Extend your voyage with additional night in Tromso or transfer to airport for departure flight.
Day 1 TROMSO - Southbound
Our Southbound Voyage departs from Tromso. Take part in one of our optional winter excursions, or visit the northernmost brewery. After embarkation in the late evening, the ship will travel toward the Lofoten islands.
The journey past the beautiful Vesteralen Islands toward the spectacular Lofoten Islands is for many the highlight of the trip. Between Sortland and Stokmarknes, you can see the famous Moysalen mountain, which has inspired numerous artists over the years. As we sail south through Vesteralen, we seemingly head straight toward a mountain wall, but there is an opening there: Raftsundet, which leads to the bewitchingly-narrow Trollfjord.

Day 2 VESTERALEN - LOFOTEN ISLANDS (B, L, D)
Passing through the Lofoten Islands, the ship negotiates a stunning network of inlets and isles. We will also pass through the narrow channel between vesteralen and the Lofoten Islands known as the raftsund.
In fact, there are still many Norwegians who have never been to this region, as the archipelago west of Bodo is admittedly somewhat remote. Yet thanks to the fisheries and the European cod trade, Lofoten is now actually one of Norway's more cosmopolitan areas. But in recent years, more and more Norwegians have realized why international magazines, newspapers and visitors are so fascinated by, and enamored with this area.
Day 3 ARCTIC CIRCLE - SEVEN SISTERS (B, L, D)
In the morning, we cross the Arctic Circle. Now we head for the Helgeland coast with its abundance of islands, islets, reefs and steep mountain walls. This is the home of the unique rock formations of Hestmannen; Torghatten, with its distinctive hole; and the spectacular Seven Sisters mountain range.
All seven mountains are more than 2,950 ft high, and according to local legend, the seven sisters were turned to stone because they forgot to hide from the sun.
Day 4 TRONDHEIM - KRISTIANSUND (B, L, D)
Kings & Saga Narratives
Arriving at Trondheim in the morning, you'll have the opportunity to visit the famous Nidaros Cathedral or take a stroll through the old town with its picturesque wooden buildings.
The ship will then head slowly out of the majestic Trondheimsfjord past Munkholmen, Hitra and thousands of islands and islets before docking in Kristiansund, often referred to as Norway's "cured cod capital", because of its longtime export of the salted, dried fish. From Kristiansund, we cross the open sea on our way toward Molde.
Day 5 BERGEN - DISEMBARKATION (B)
The City of Seven Mountains
Today your journey with Hurtigruten will come to an end, but there are still a few nautical miles of fascinating winter scenery ahead of us. We reach Bergen in the afternoon, where you disembark.
Bergen is the start and end point for the traditional shipping lanes across the North Sea, both for Hurtigruten and other cruise ships, ferries and cargo ships. Even the railway from continental Europe ends here in the city of the seven mountains. Eventually, transfer to your Hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 6 BERGEN DEPARTURE (B)
At Journey's End
Bergen is the start and end point for the traditional shipping lanes across the North Sea, both for Hurtigruten and other cruise ships, ferries and cargo ships. Even the railway from continental Europe ends here in the city of the seven mountains.
There was a time when traveling from Bergen across the sea to the UK or the Netherlands was far easier than trekking across the mountains to Oslo. Spend the morning in beautiful Bergen before your transfer to the airport and flight towards the next adventure.
