Day 2 JOURNEY INTO THE GLACIER (B)

Explore the brand new ice tunnel in Langjökull Glacier

Breakfast at your hotel. Today's adventure starts with a drive through Borgarfjördur, a beloved nature resort area of Icelanders, to the edge of Langjökull glacier. During the drive you'll get the chance to visit Hraunfossar waterfalls, a series of waterfalls formed by rivulets streaming over a distance of about 900 meters (2,950 feet) out of a lava field.

Nearby are the mightily churning hot springs of Deildartunguhver, considered the most powerful in Europe. They provide much of the hot water and geothermal energy to the area communities.

Head via unpaved tracks into the starkly beautiful highland interior of Iceland, crowned by the Langjökull glacier. When you reach the glacier, it's time to board an 8-wheel glacier truck that will take you on an incredible journey to the entrance of the ice tunnel.

When you enter into the tunnels of the ice cave on a guided walk, you'll enter an amazing world of blue ice and amazing crystal beauty. You'll see colors of blue you never knew existed, and learn how glaciers hide the secrets of history.

After an approximately 50-minute visit inside the glacier, it's time to head back to Reykjavik. If you are traveling between June and September, you'll take the Kaldidalur highland track, including a stop at UNESCO-listed Thingvellir National Park, where you'll encounter places of historic significance and incredible natural scenery. Overnight in Reykjavik.

Highlights: Hraunfossar | Barnafoss | Deildartunguhver | Thingvellir National Park

*Due to the closing of Kaldidalur highland track, a visit to Thingvellir National Park is only available from June - September

Breakfast at your hotel. Enjoy a day of leisure. Explore Reykjavik's many attractions and places of interest — such as Harpa Concert Hall and the Solfarid sculpture overlooking the bay— relax with a nice cup of coffee at one of the city's excellent coffee houses, or go shopping on Laugavegur or Kringlan shopping centre.

You can also choose an optional tour into the countryside, viewing the spectacular nature, waterfalls, and volcanoes that are so close to the capital city. Overnight in Reykjavik.

Day 4 DEPARTURE REYKJAVIK (B)

Free day for leisure - departure

Breakfast at your hotel. If your flight is in the afternoon, use your last moments in the country to walk along the harbour seafront and breathe the fresh Atlantic breeze - or if you still need to relax, visit one of the city's swimming pools.
