Day 1 ARRIVAL KITTILA - TORASSIEPPI (D)
From Kittila airport it is only a 45 minutes transfer to Torassieppi, where you will meet your guide and receive information on the days to come. After settling in to your accommodation, you can enjoy your dinner in the restaurant. Torassieppi
Day 2 REINDEER FARM - LOCAL CULTURE - AURORA CAMPFIRE (B, L, D)
After a hearty breakfast, your guide will lead you to the reindeer farm which is a short walk from your accommodation. You will be introduced to the reindeer herder who will take you for a short ride on a reindeer sled and give you an insight into the life of the reindeer. You can enter the traditional guest house and museum, enabling you to catch a rare glimpse into what life was like this far north before roads and motorized vehicles. The house is one of the few remaining in Lapland after the Second World War. Lunch will be served in a traditional Lappish kota around a fire. After lunch, your guide will help you get crafty and show you how to make your own traditional Lappish souvenir. In the evening the guide will tell you more about the fascinating phenomenon of the Northern Lights, and the science & myths behind it. Afterwards you can join our local guide for a walk to a prime Northern lights viewing spot. Here you will build a camp fire, toast marshmallows and enjoy hot chocolate around the fire while waiting for the light to hopefully make an appearance. Torassieppi
Day 3 SKIING - NATIONAL PARK - COOKING COURSE (B, L, D)
Breakfast in the restaurant. After a cross-country skiing lesson, your guide will help you test your new-found skills on a scenic route on maintained tracks in the surroundings of Torassieppi. Admire the peaceful views while pumping all that pure air through your lungs and working up a hunger. Lunch will be served in the restaurant. This evening - Local cooking course
Take it easy in the afternoon during your free time or go take another spin on your skis. In the early evening you can join your guide in the kota, learning how to cook like a local using ingredients from Lapland's pure nature. Day 4 SNOWSHOE HIKE IN NATIONAL PARK - ARCTIC SPA (B, L, D)
Eat well at breakfast, as afterwards your guide will be taking you by minibus to the Pallas fell area. This is the largest fell area in Western Lapland and is known for its breathtaking beauty. Strap on your snowshoes and hike up to the areas with best views. The trip lasts 3 - 4 hours and will include a picnic snack en route. Afterwards have a well-earned relaxing afternoon in our Arctic Spa at the shore of the Jeris lake. Here you get the change to swim in the ice pool and warm up in the most traditional sauna of all, the smoke sauna! Day 5 HUSKY SAFARI (B, L, D)
In the morning you have some free time to enjoy the surroundings on your own. Lunch is served in the restaurant today. In the afternoon you will meet the lovely huskies, enjoy a tour of the farm and take a 17 km safari, two persons per sled. In the evening dinner in the hotel restaurant. Day 6 - 7 LEISURE DAY - OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES (B, L, D)
Today and tomorrow are free days. You can relax or ask your guide for optional activities. You may already be surprised at how much there is to do out in the Wilderness! Breakfast, lunch and dinner, and for your last night a special farewell dinner will be served in the restaurant. Day 8 DEPARTURE TORASSIEPPI (B)
After breakfast it's time to say farewell to this peaceful place and take your transfer to the airport. This is a sample itinerary, a full itinerary will be given in resort. We hold the right for changes in the program itinerary according to weather conditions.
